Old-time photography is priceless; it is a living testimonial of rich heritage. Today we can enjoy these visuals, learn more and engage with our ancestors’ past. When I was much freer in the past and living in my hometown in Brittany, I found special joy in looking through the old, black and white, tiny photographs of my parents and those of my grandparents. When I was young, my parents took a lot of pictures of both my siblings and me. My dad thoroughly enjoys taking pictures and videos. He used to tell me that I had always wanted to make a darkroom at home. I used a disposable camera and sometimes my dad’s camera.
In my sports career, I frequently traveled, and it was during these travels I started to use a digital camera and create my own content. To be precise, exactly 5 years ago, I moved to Singapore and started to consider my pursuit of photography with greater seriousness. Approximately one or two years later, I was invited to part of a photography exhibition in Prague, Czech Republic, with other FUJIFILM ambassadors from all over the world. One of the photography shops in Prague came with the most diverse range of vintage cameras. Most of them were rather interesting to me and surprisingly still in good working condition. I bought myself my first analog camera there.
