The Life And Times Of Blue City

I was wonder stuck when I first visited Jodhpur and particularly the Blue City. The by lanes of the old city, were all in blue and the gullies were very narrow, which did not allow us to compose the shots properly. So, it was a bit of a challenge in composing and getting proper lighting.

The art of playing with light and presenting ordinary things in extraordinary perspective, the portrayal of nature in its finest detail, and capturing the various human emotions in all its glory are what distinguishes Satish. He started photography at the age of 12, and it is this gift of nature that made him take up cinematography in his academic stint. It was during his graduation that he started to capture nature in all its glory.

Satish has been honoured with international distinctions viz MFIAP, MICS, ARPS, cMoL, GPA.PESGSPC, Hon. MFIP, Hon. FICS, Hon. CPE, Hon. PESGSPC, Hon. YPS, Hon. ECPA, Hon.FLAS, Hon. FWPAI, Hon. FSAP, Hon. PSP, Patron LMG. and Hon. GMTPAS.

He is the first Indian to be honoured with EFIAP and MFIAP in nature colour prints, one of the highest honours in the photography world. He is also the youngest Indian to get MFIAP.
