Can we take a positive look at men?
In this trending fever of increasing #MeToo moments, I too feel like sharing a few I things men have done to me.
#MeToo: I too have been protected by a man when I travelled on an empty road around midnight. I have been taken special care of by my male doctor who examined me in his cabin when I was fighting one of the deadliest viral fevers. He also ensured that he personally came home to meet me during his lunch break, skipping his lunch.
I too, like trillions of other girls, have had so many male friends, who not only stood for me, but fought with me when I wore a revealing dress. Friends who motivated me, pushed me to study more, helped me with my notes and even went out of their way on most nights to drop me home.
Like millions of other girls, I too experienced elder-brother-like advice when I first went for my internship interview in a tourism company. The head not only invested hours discussing my future, but also inspired me to develop leadership skills.
Surrounded by men, protected my men, loved so selflessly by so many men, is this too not a thing to be virally spread?
