This is the Basso Diamante Disc ridden by Beth Morrow (CAMS-Basso) at the recent Lincoln GP. The 19-year-old from Edinburgh placed fifth in the women's race, which was won by team-mate Becky Storrie.
The bike is billed by Basso as a climbing bike but for Morrow it's something of an all-rounder. "It is very light while being fast and aerodynamic," she says. "It's my first disc-brake road bike and I definitely wouldn't go back. It's so reactive and fun to descend on."
The frameset features a distinctive headset that sits below the top tube, which the Italian marque says improves manoeuvrability. Morrow, who is 5ft 6in and rides a 48cm frame, uses 30mm of spacers to obtain a correct fit.
Appropriately, her Diamante is kitted out with Italian componentry from two of the country's most respected brands, Campagnolo and Deda Elementi; this double shot of tech comprises a groupset, wheels, and finishing kit.
