Nineteen-year-old takes surprise victory at San Sebasti‡n Nineteen-year-old Remco Evenepoel headlined a bumper weekend for Deceuninck-Quick-Step as he stormed to victory at Clásica San Sebastián just 24 hours before Elia Viviani won the RideLondon-Surrey Classic on the Mall.
With his first WorldTour win Evenepoel became the third-youngest Classics winner in history.
“Winning this race was one of my dreams and now that I have done this, at my very first participation, all I can say is that it’s just incredible and wonderful,” he said.
