Among the recent signings for the women’s side was another scoop as the Hoops sealed the signature of midfielder, Lisa Robertson from English Championship side, Durham.

The 27-year-old has a wealth of experience and a treasure chest of silverware, including three Scottish Cups and four League Cups during two spells with Hibernian, as well as the domestic treble with Glasgow City in 2013 and a title-winning medal from the United States with Spokane Shine.

As well as playing and training, the Dalkeith-born player runs her own painting and decorating company based in the capital, Refresh Decorators.

After returning from their pre-season training camp in Gran Canaria with new coach, Fran Alonso, the women’s side got back to business on Sunday with their 0-0 draw with Glasgow Women in the League Cup, and Robertson took time out of her busy schedule to talk about joining the Hoops.

HOW DOES IT FEEL TO HAVE JOINED CELTIC AND HOW DID THE MOVE COME ABOUT?

It feels really good and I’m really excited about the season ahead. After speaking to Celtic about their plans and ambitions for the up and coming season, I just thought it was the right time to come back to Scotland and play up here.

THESE ARE TIMES OF GREAT CHANGE FOR THE TEAM. EVEN AS A NEWCOMER, CAN YOU FEEL THAT?

Definitely. You can feel the professionalism around the club, a professionalism that maybe wasn’t there previously. You can feel the changes and obviously everyone is buzzing about it, so it gives off a good vibe around the club. It’s a really exciting time with all these changes and everyone is hoping to go on and achieve things.

HOW HAVE YOU BEEN SETTLING IN?
