A YEAR ago Dom Bess was the talk of the town, fresh from an England Test debut in which he showed promise with both bat and ball.
But, after falling out of favour for club and country, the 21-yearold is looking to rebuild during a one-month loan spell at Yorkshire.
The move to Headingley provides Bess with a much needed chance to re-establish himself as one of the country’s hottest spinners after being starved of game time at parent side Somerset.
Fellow England international Jack Leach is currently top dog at Taunton and, with an arsenal of excellent quick bowlers at his disposal, head coach Jason Kerr has largely restricted Bess to the seconds.
In the first six weeks of the new season, he played in just two OneDay Cup games and quickly pushed for a move – temporarily for now.
