Joe Judge knew he would be behind the eight ball with no offseason program due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but he never made excuses. Instead, he rolled up his sleeves with his coaching staff and learned every single thing about his players. After 12 weeks, the Giants are in first place at 4-7. And even though the division is dreadful, Joe Judge will take it. His message is getting through and the team has bought into the culture he is building.
The start of the season produced expected growing pains, with the team beginning 0-5 and 1-7 at the season’s midpoint. They lost four games by a total of 10 points, some in excruciating manner (think Philly) and after having blown late leads, now find themselves getting key stops to end games.
The Giants have not arrived, but at least they’re getting closer to their destination, something that didn’t seem possible over the summer. Let’s take a look at the reasons why.
