Xiaomi has cracked the sub-10k and the sub-20k market with its exhaustive range but the Rs. 20,000+ segment still remains elusive. They tried with the Mi Mix 2 and the POCO F1 last year but the market hasn’t been as receptive as Xiaomi thought they would be. However, things are different this year. OnePlus has gone premium with their OnePlus 7 Pro and there’s not much of a competition in the Rs. 20,000-40,000 segment, which is why Xiaomi is trying to leverage its strong Redmi brand. The Redmi K20 series is Xiaomi’s most expensive Redmi yet but also the most powerful. We look at the K20 Pro variant to see if it is enough for customers to consider a Redmi phone near the Rs. 30,000 price bracket.
