Things & Activities your kids will love to do in Goa.
SUMMERS is the time to listen to grandma’s stories, have mangoes, swing from the tree all day, and ice cream! Indian summers have a life of their own when children run amok, freed from the routine of schools and homework. It’s also the time when families pack their bags and head out to explore and create memories with their kids. Goa being a family friendly state welcomes tourists in bulk at this time of the year. So, naturally there are lot of kids of varying age groups here, who need to be entertained.
During family vacations the last thing one wants is a cranky child. It’s important to keep kids busy, even if you as adults are looking at switching off and relaxing. Those of us who live in Goa & have kids look at summer holidays with mixed feelings; there is a respite from school duties during this sultry weather yet the mammoth task of keeping kids busy productively dawns upon us. Luckily, for both local kids and visitors, there is plenty to keep the kids busy during the summer holidays in Goa. Here is a roundup of some such activities:
Summers are the last time before monsoons start to make the most of Goa’s vast shoreline. Kids love beaches; carry their favorite toys, beach kits, snacks, etc., to keep them busy. With kids it is recommended to opt for popular beaches like Baga, Calangute, Palolem, and the like, since these beaches have plenty of activities, are better manned by lifeguards and have several eateries to take care of sudden hunger pangs.
Dolphin Sighting: Children are going to love this activity which involves a boat ride and the opportunity to follow dolphins swimming through the Arabian Sea. The most popular beaches from where you can hop on a ride for dolphin sighting in the state are Palolem, Morjim, Sinquerim, & Cavelossim. There are several organized dolphin sighting tours, with costs for the tour varying amid operators.
