All Go For The Show

In our last update we were scrambling to get the Broject ready for the Cape Town Motorshow. With a 6pm Thursday deadline to get the Jeep to the Grand Arena we were up against the odds, especially when a missing bolt resulted in our steering box falling off while doing the final flex ramp tests to check clearances and do some light fender trimming. This was how the Motorshow deadline went…

8 working days before:

We left the Kyknet Expo on the Sunday and The Broject was delivered to Hein at Burnco on Tuesday morning and work commenced on the front bumper. Based on entrant’s votes to go with an angular style bumper, Hein and the Bros designed a custom front bumper that fits as tightly to vehicle to allow the best approach angle possible while still being able to accommodate a winch.

4 working days before

The Bumper was removed and taken next door to Dino for painting. At the same time the Broject was taken to Mark at Maniac 4x4 where work commenced on fitting the Rubicon Express 4.5-inch lift kit (plus the Hack and Tap SYE kit) sponsored by Designa Off road, as well as the Performance Series shocks sponsored by FOX.

Andre Brand from Cooper Tyres in the meantime had sent our new Cooper STT Pro 33” muds to Conrad at BestDrive Montague Gardens to have them fitted on our freshly painted steelies (which he also sponsored).
