Arjan Bajwa never thought he would become a professional actor someday. He grew up in Delhi in a Punjabi joint family. His family expected he would join the army, enrol in the IAS or settle abroad. But he wanted to become a commercial pilot back then.

Arjan confabs, “I started taking gliding lessons at the Delhi Gliding Club. Simultaneously, I started a degree course in Architecture. It was during this time, when I participated in dramatics and modeling events and gradually realised my true calling.” While the internet is abuzz with news about the actor’s ‘growing up’ years around rifles, Arjan shares how proud he is of his father and his upbringing. “There was a conspiracy revolving my grandfather’s demise which created an abnormal situation for our family. My father stood as a shield for the family and took our responsibility on his shoulders at a very young age. Growing up looking at guns lying around in the house and realising that my father’s life is in constant danger; automatically made me rise to the occasion and made me responsible.”
