SAY WHAT? Hemp without the high is being hailed as the answer to inflamed skin. Rollies not required.
BUZZ Turns out Bob Marley may have been a budding beauty guru… Cannabis produces a compound called cannabidiol (CBD) that possesses antiseptic and antibiotic properties, and the bit that’s (legally) blowing our mind is that our body produces similar cannabinoids. These creams work in harmony with our skin and are capable of keeping it in a state of calm. Hemp oil derived from cannabis has some of the same benefits, but for marijuana’s soothing and anti-inflammatory magic, it’s the CBD you need. (Try The Body Shop’s Hemp range.) Don’t worry: you won’t space out when you slap on the products because they don’t contain tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the part that triggers the psychedelic side effects.
