Though the wellness space is growing multifolds, the category is still at its nascent stage in India.hair spoke to Steve Jeisman, Group Director, Alila Experience about the industry as whole and Alila Experiences specially curated therapies and treatments.
In the age of social media, what changes have you observed in the wellness industry?
People are becoming more aware of the various options available to them through technology. For the wellness industry per se, it helps to understand what the consumers are looking for, their preferences etc. and be able to customise different programmes for them. Most guests now require a deeper sense of letting go of their gadgets and escaping the need to be hooked on to their devices. Our whole approach is to reconnect people back with nature, to pause and find happiness through a sequence of massage therapies, meditation, yoga and healthy lifestyle choices.
How did you curate therapies for the Indian market?
