Daredevil duchess - KATE'S ON ACTIVE DUTY

A holiday has been just the tonic for the popular royal

She’s been absent from the spotlight for a couple of months, but now Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge is back at work in spectacular style.

Daredevil Kate, 39, proved to be up for a challenge when she went mountain biking and abseiling during an engagement in the Lake District. The mum-of-three visited the RAF Air Cadets Windermere Adventure Training Centre and rather than just observing the youngsters enjoying outdoor activities, she got stuck in herself.

Kate’s a big believer in the benefits of spending time outside – including the effect it has on both physical and mental health – and encouraged one young cadet who was a little nervous of abseiling by telling her, “It’s really good.”
