STAR TALKS TO WOMAN

TV fans are used to seeing Holly Willoughby side by side with best friend and This Morning co-host Phillip Schofield.

But this week it’s all change, as Holly, 41, has a brand new TV husband to keep her company.

For the latest in her line of Phil-free projects, Holly has joined forces with Top Gear star Freddie Flintoff to host an exciting new ITV series called The Games.

The show, which is on screens for the entirety of the week, sees Holly and Freddie, 44, putting famous faces through their paces in a series of Olympics-style events until one is eventually crowned the champion.

And it’s clear that mum-of-three Holly is over the moon with her new co-host – as she recently revealed she’s thrilled to be showing him the ropes of live TV.

Speaking to Woman at the launch of the new show, Holly said, ‘I’m really excited to be presenting The Games with Freddie and the rest of the team. I can’t wait to watch our celebrity competitors go head-to-head.’

Holly, who has also been branching out from her daytime duties by presenting BBC show Freeze the Fear with Wim Hof, alongside comedian Lee Mack, continued, ‘I love live telly. It’s my favourite, favourite thing. Any other TV that I’ve made just doesn’t have that excitement, that real sort of event viewing.’

She later quipped that she promises to ‘look after’ Freddie, but that live television ‘doesn’t always go right’ after the former sportsman turned TV star revealed his nerves at hosting the live shows alongside a veteran.
