Alesha Dixon talks parenting, her new fashion collection and how she achieves a mental clear-out.
After starting her career with girl band Mis-Teeq, TV presenter and singer Alesha Dixon became a household name when she won Strictly Come Dancing in 2007. She then became a judge on Strictly before quitting for the Britain’s Got Talent panel in 2012. She has also designed four collections for online clothing retailer Little Black Dress. Alesha, 39, is happily settled with her long-term partner, dancer Azuka ononye, in Hertfordshire, and they have a four-year-old daughter, Azura. Here, she opens up about her love of meringues and motherhood.
‘I love all aspects of being a mum. It has really changed me and is one of the most joyful things I’ve ever experienced. Watching Azura develop and grow is a beautiful thing. So yes, another baby would be great. But I also have friends who have just had one child who say that’s lovely as well. If it’s meant to be, it will be.’
