‘I watch EastEnders to PICK MYSELF APART'

EastEnders’ Kellie Bright speaks to Woman about spending time at home with her husband and two young sons

Kellie Bright has become an EastEnders icon since her character, landlady Linda Carter, moved into the Queen Vic with her husband Mick – played by Danny Dyer – and three kids in 2013.

While her character is often seen in tight dresses paired with killer heels, Kellie is a world apart from her on-screen self as she takes off the shoes she’s wearing when we meet her at the TRIC Awards.

‘Heels only go on for awards,’ she laughs. ‘Oh my goodness, they’re absolutely killing me!’

She’s been on Albert Square for almost seven years, and in that time Linda has been through a lot, including giving birth to her fourth child, Ollie – who’s been diagnosed with autism – getting raped by her brother-in-law and, most recently, developing an alcohol problem.
