Visit To The Second Largest Island In The Med, Sardinia

WHY GO?

This special place is home of the original Blue Zone, where some of the world’s oldest people live healthfully. This rare genetic quirk is understandable when you spend even a few days here soaking up the sun, sea air, and Sardinian culture.

A traditional, healthy way of life has three primary prongs, incidentally exercise is the first. As the landscape here is naturally rocky, you get your daily 10,000 steps simply by popping out for milk or going to see a friend.

Second is food – Sardinians still hunt, fish and harvest the food they eat. Their local delicacies are olive oil, fish, ham, vegetables (tomatoes – in their infinite varieties taste delicious) and dairy (scrumptious goat’s cheese and bocconcini). Thirdly, and most importantly, is community, with Sardinians remaining close to friends and family all their lives.
