Paddy and Christine McGuinness reveal how they enjoyed their first family holiday with their three autistic children
'We're So Proud Of Them'

Paddy and Christine McGuinness have always been open about how tough it can be bringing up three children with autism, with Paddy once admitting, ‘I crave normality.’

The couple have always wanted to go on a family holiday with their brood, but hadn’t been able to – until now.

The 46-year-old Take Me Out presenter and his 31-year-old wife are parents to six-year-old twins Penelope and Leo, and three-year-old Felicity – who have all been diagnosed with the developmental disability that affects speech and social skills, and means they can find unfamiliar situations, such as travelling somewhere new, overwhelming.

So when Christine and Paddy took Leo, Penelope and Felicity on their firstholiday – to Peppa Pig World, near Southampton – which they say was ‘six years in the making’, they couldn’t contain their emotions.

Huge achievement

Proud mum Christine gushed on social media, ‘We did it, our first flight all together as a family and it went so well. We areimmensely proud of Leo, Penelope and Felicity. Despite all of the extra obstacles our children have to deal with, they stepped well out of their comfort zone and they did it so well.’
