Trish’s Friesian steer Nemoo is changing lives – one hug at a time!

There is nothing like a good hug to melt away the stresses of your day – just ask Trish Prendergast who loves nothing more than snuggling up to her 600kg Friesian steer Nemoo.

Trish took up cow hugging last year after the senior veterinary nurse found her mental health slipping.

“The stress we go through is enormous,” Trish tells Woman’s Day from her farm outside of Black River, Queensland.

“For myself and my colleagues, trying to save an animal, or losing one, does take its toll.

“Nemoo has helped me just sit and forget about the troubles going on.”
