‘I couldn’t cuddle my children’

For many, the COVID-19 kilos piled on when compulsory isolation led to mindless raiding of the kitchen cupboards, but not for father-of-three Tim Patterson. He used the forced time at home to not only lock down but to slim down!

At home in Melbourne, the 36-year-old tipped the scales at 162kg in August last year when the news broke that the city had to go into a second lockdown.

“I’ve always been overweight,” Tim, an executive assistant, tells Woman’s Day. “I was 100kg when I was in Year 6 and haven’t got below that since.”
