The devoted grandson pulls out all the stops to get his boy to the UK – despite his wife’s protests

Until as recently as last month, Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, were telling friends they doubt they’ll ever return to the United Kingdom again, such has been the public backlash against them for leaving the royal family.

But when it was revealed that the Queen was secretly hospitalised towards the end of October and was forced to back out of important public engagements, sources say the 37-year-old prince “did an abrupt 180 on his determination not to go back”.

According to our insider, Harry “seriously considered” getting on the next British Airways flight out of LAX – and even held tense negotiations with his wife about taking their two-year-old son Archie.

“Harry’s every instinct screamed that he should go back to the UK and see his grandmother,” says a source.
