The actress is the life of the party, but Jim’s apparently had enough

When Big Little Lies star Reese Witherspoon rang in her 43rd birthday last week, her husband Jim Toth was nowhere to be seen. Instead of a fancy dinner out or a party at home with friends, Reese is said to have spent the evening on her own after her talent agent beau stormed out amid growing tension over her partying ways.

“It would have been her worst nightmare to be left alone on her birthday, crying and eating cake all by herself, I’m sure. Birthdays are a huge deal for Reese,” claims a close pal, adding that Jim likely wanted the day to be “lowkey,” given how things went down “the last time they were at a big bash”.

Referring to Reese’s embarrassing display at Jennifer Aniston’s 50th birthday party, where she was snapped stumbling down the stairs looking decidedly worse for wear, the source says Jim, 49, was furious. He’d reportedly ducked out early because she didn’t want to stop partying.
