The Sydney woman’s family have fresh hopes of finding out what really happened to Revelle, who vanished 26 years ago

A million-dollar reward posted in the hope of unearthing new clues in the hunt for what happened to Revelle Balmain has renewed hopes that one of Australia’s most baffling cold cases could finally be solved.

The new reward announced last week comes after Revelle’s sister Suellen Simpson revealed that she suspected the 22-year-old was working 40 WDas an escort at the time of her disappearance.

“She was young. She was beautiful. She was working. She was happy. She was talented. She had everything going for her and then this happened and everything stopped,” Suellen said last week. “When she disappeared, I felt like a piece of my heart was ripped from my chest.”

The talented model and dancer went missing sometime after 7 pm on November 5, 1994, just days before she was due to set out on a six-week dance tour to Japan.

Two days later, one of her shoes, her wallet, and her keys were found scattered around the Sydney suburb of Kingsford and what happened to Revelle has remained a mystery ever since.
