RIDER TOM JACKSON
“THE owners of ‘Walshy’ bought him from Ireland when he was a foal and he was initially produced by Georgie Campbell (neé Strang) until he was six. He came to me because Georgie was moving yards and his owners didn’t want him to move so far away. I hadn’t seen him before he arrived, bar on a couple of videos his owners sent me. Georgie said he was a very nice horse and I was fortunate to end up with him.
“One of his best aspects has always been his level brain. We probably have horses that move better than him, but he is so trainable and wants to do the right thing.
