MY experience ride judging at this year’s Royal Windsor was wonderful. My co-judge, Lucy Penrose, and I were on the same page throughout and we were treated to strong classes of both novice and amateur cobs.
The novices were particularly strong and the winner (Randalstown Aristocrat), eventual section reserve, caught my eye from the moment it walked in.
He was a real “wow” horse and he was streets ahead. In the Castle Arena championship he rose to the occasion and it was a pleasure to pull him forward as reserve. The championship was of such a high standard and I feel so honoured to have co-judged it.
