AMATEUR winners of internationals are few and far between, but full-time physiotherapist Abigail Tomlinson proved that happy sporting anomalies still exist when she cruised to Ideal Finance MGT CCI3*-S victory with her “horse of a lifetime” PN Hugo.
Abigail, 30, capitalised on Frickley’s influential jumping phases with her spring-heeled 14-year-old gelding and leapfrogged up the leaderboard from 44th place after dressage onto the top podium spot.
