TONY PEARSON is a persistent threat in a speed class and he made no exception in the amateur section at this show, heading the Peel Ports Logistics 1.25m on two days with Wyoming 19.
He claimed the final day’s sash in the international arena when he stormed the jumpoff from an early draw with his own and Tracy Cottrell’s 10-year-old.
“Today’s was the class I wanted to win, especially as it’s Father’s Day,” said Tony, who lost his father Russell, a big supporter of the sport, in a car accident in 2015.
Tony has produced Wyoming 19 since a five-yearold, previously contesting the newcomers and grade C with him at Horse of the Year Show.
