The Bharat Mobility Global Expo is an all new affair, result of a huge push from the Indian government to bring a new flair to the motor exhibition theme. This is also because the Auto Expo, which is India's oldest and prime automotive exhibition is set to be merged into the Bharat Mobility Global Expo which is to be held annually, as are all other automotive shows in India, which means that this is set to make Pragati Maidan the epicentre of automotive exposition for years to come. The event was a resounding success as well, with over 800 exhibitors, and over 1,50,000 visitors. A huge number of component manufacturers from countries like Germany, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Thailand solidify India's growing stature.
On top of this, all the major Indian bodies, such as Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), Automotive Component Manufacturers' Association (ACMA) were part of the expo along with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Heavy Industries. The Bharat Mobility Global Expo saw participation from almost every major OEM, some of which had skipped the Auto Expo last year owing to the cost of participation and the benefits of such huge investments. There were various themes, the biggest one being the adoption of alternate fuels in the form of flex fuel vehicles, along with a heavy influx of electric vehicles, some of which made their public debut on Indian soil.
