The refreshed Audi A8 long-wheelbase model has arrived and it is a bold and progressive take on Ingolstadt's flagship saloon

WITH THE COMPETITION RUNNING amok, offering not one but several iterations of their luxury and super-luxury limousines and in petrol, diesel, and even hybrid guises it was time for Audi to counter-attack with luxury saloon flagship as well. The new A8, then, represents the pinnacle of Audi's vorsprung durch technik in this day and age, with a focus on design and technology that envelops interaction, connectivity, safety, and comfort. The variant we have here is aptly called "Technology".

The fourth-generation A8, introduced in 2017, raised Audi's saloon to a new level with respect to power, style, and equipment. With a sharp new design for the face, a chrome-laden and bolder front grille, and a revised tail, Audi have ensured that the A8 L has a greater presence while embodying an elegant yet sporty stance. The sharpened design is accompanied by established technologies and outstanding comfort in the rear seats that basically define Audi's premium conception for this segment.

The four-ringed brand has paid intense attention to enhancing the confident and progressive character of the active luxury sedan. The Audi A8 L hopes to represent status and exude authority and the reworked exterior takes it some way further. The "singleframe" grille is joined by new Digital Matrix LED headlights and OLED (organic light-emitting diode) tail-lights with innovative functions and a unique signature. The new design and elements at the front significantly increase the A8 L's presence and authority as the brand's top model.
