Russell Wins His First F1 GP In Sao Paulo

At the Brazilian Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton finished second to Carlos Sainz of Ferrari, giving George Russell his first Grand Prix victory in an impressive fashion. Mercedes also claimed their first win and one-two finish of the season.

RUSSELL TOOK THE lead from Hamilton at the start because of their Sprint finish and Carlos Sainz's five-place grid penalty. The Safety Car was shortly brought out due to a collision between McLaren's Daniel Ricciardo and Haas' Kevin Magnussen that sent both cars out at Turn Eight.

Max Verstappen (Red Bull Racing) and Lewis Hamilton collided at Turn Two at the restart of lap seven and then Lando Norris (McLaren) rammed the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc into the Turn Seven barriers. Verstappen and Norris each received a five-second penalty, but none of the vehicles retired.
