Tata Motors have rolled out multiple concept vehicles for the 2023 Auto Expo. What was the strategy for this?

The megatrends around safety, connectivity, and sustainability are changing the automotive industry that we know today. New-age customers are looking for cars that offer enhanced performance and fuel efficiency and are environmentally friendly. To comprehensively address upcoming trends and emerging customer needs, we showcased 12 vehicles and concepts a combination of ICE and EV) at the Auto Expo 2023. All our showcases were either production-ready or very close to the production version.

Tata Motors now have a majority market share in electric vehicle sales. What are the steps that Tata Motors will take to enhance it?

We currently command 85 per cent of the market share in the EV industry. With the advent of competition, the market share might take a hit but our focus will be to increase sales exponentially. Towards this, we are simultaneously working on enhancing our current offerings as well as offering customers an array of choices, some of which were exhibited at the Expo. Going forward, we have already announced the launch of 10 EVs in different product segments, body styles, and affordability levels by 2025. The wide-ranging portfolio will help us main to maintain leadership.

The Sierra EV concept was the showstopper at the Auto Expo. What is the road-map for this EV going forward?
