With the PWA Slalom, Freestyle and Wave fleets poised for more drama, after an intense season on tour, the Sylt Windsurf World Cup is often the battleground where titles can be won or lost, with its tricky and unpredictable conditions catching out more than its fair share of victims over the years.

Over the course of ten tiring days, around one hundred competitors from all three disciplines converged on the windswept shoreline of Sylt to take their shot at glory in the North Sea. With the Freestyle world title up for grabs and the Wave and Slalom overalls hanging in the balance, this year’s Sylt delivered once again with drama and surprise results in all disciplines. Our best scouts from Windsurf Magazine were on hand to watch the action unfold and we caught up with some of the winners and losers to bring us their exclusive individual stories.
