The future is bright for excavators as infra projects continue its run

The Indian government's sustained emphasis on infrastructure projects is a primary catalyst for increased demand in the excavator market. Accelerating urbanization has led to heightened demand for residential and commercial spaces, consequently driving construction activities. Moses Eddy, director, Kobelco India, says, "From an economic perspective, hybrid excavators offer notable advantages in fuel efficiency. They utilise advanced energy storage systems to capture and reuse energy, leading to reduced fuel consumption and cost savings over the machine's lifecycle. While the initial investment in hybrid technology may be higher, the long-term savings in fuel and maintenance costs can offset these upfront expenses."
