A great success!
Nampo 2023 saw 81 945 visitors this year, and was once again an example of innovation by South Africa’s agriculture sector, according to Grain SA.
Running from 16 to 19 May, this year’s show included 823 exhibitors, and welcomed close to 200 aeroplanes and 75 helicopters that were parked at Nampo Park during the show. “It was indeed Nampo as we know it, but with a lot of innovations by exhibitors. The ultra-modern buildings that some exhibitors erected at the park were exciting and set a new standard for exhibitors. It was great to see exhibitors showcasing their full ranges and latest technology. Grain SA is also incredibly grateful for the good weather that prevailed,” said Dr Pieter Taljaard, CEO of Grain SA.
Taljaard added that Grain SA’s main goal with Nampo is to return value to its members, the grain value chain, and the entire agriculture sector.
“The attendance figures are an indicator of agriculture’s relevance, but it is more important that the right feet were here. The exhibitors’ satisfaction confirms this, because the right feet in turn attract the right exhibitors.
“It was also rewarding to see the alternatives to the issue of the location differential that were on display at Nampo. It shows that, with technology as a starting point, there’s often a solution to a challenge such as the differential for grain grading.”
