I do love Lake Tahoe," says Days of Our Lives star Galen Gering. "It's close, but it's magical." This freshwater lake that straddles California and Nevada in Harbor Beach, on the north shore, is a family-friendly place to swim. In the summertime, Lake Tahoe boasts excellent opportunities to hike, bike and, of course, get out on the water. "If you have the opportunity to take a boat out, head for Emerald Bay," Galen says.
