HUMA QURESHI. SHE TALKS TO JITESH PILLAAI ABOUT FINDING HER FEET AND MORE
JITESH PILLAAI
"I came to Mumbai to do one film!"

Huma Qureshi isn’t your typical Hindi film heroine. She loves to live life to the fullest, eats her heart out and possesses a wicked sense of humour. Our off record conversations are always more interesting than on record ones but even during her interviews, she doesn’t believe in pulling punches. She’s made some intelligent choices when it comes to picking projects. Not everything she does has done well at the box office but she’s always been praised for her acting. She’s proud of what she has achieved, despite being a complete outsider and says she’d never compromise on her principles or ideals. Excerpts from a rollicking interview with the fiery actress:

Now that you have made a place for yourself in the film industry, what would you tell a younger Huma Qureshi today?

I would tell her to chill. And not to stress unnecessarily. That’s because during that phase, I would be constantly stressed and work myself into a frenzy, wondering whether things would work out or not.

You come from a non-film background, have a degree in history and are a fabulous actor who has had her share of struggles. How comfortable are you with all of it today?
