Following her departure from Married At First Sight UK having been ditched by husband JJ Slater for another contestant, Bianca Petronzi says her experience on the show was “traumatic” – and admits that two other grooms would have suited her better.

The Buxton-based bride, 29, suffered a massive knock to her ego when JJ, 31, admitted his feelings for co-star Ella Morgan Clark, who was originally paired up with Nathanial Valentino.

“I didn’t know that JJ and Ella had met up. I didn’t know that every single cast member knew about it, so I feel embarrassed when I watch it back because there must have been talks going on around me,” she tells new. “There are people on the show who I thought were my friends, and they proved they weren’t.”

On the subject of ideal matches she confesses, “There were a couple of guys I would have liked to have been matched with. I loved Paul’s [Liba] energy. I know he’s a bit younger than me, but he’s such a soft soul. And Georges [Berthonneau], he gave me manly vibes and I’m here for that. I didn’t want someone who was extremely focused on their appearance.”
