After an undoubtedly tough few months emotionally, Lisa Armstrong has been relaxing and recharging in Los Angeles with her close friend.
And no doubt it’s been a welcome break for the Strictly Come Dancing Head Of Make-Up, after her former husband Ant McPartlin welcomed his first child in May with second wife Anne-Marie Corbett. At the time, sources claimed Lisa was “hurt” over the news, while she shared cryptic posts on social media about having “silent battles”.
Now, Lisa, 47, has been enjoying a “healing” journey in the US – and is planning to return to the UK with new-found confidence, a source has claimed.
“Lisa had been struggling ever since Ant announced he had become a dad. While her friends and family have been supportive, she knew she had to get away,” said the source. “So as soon as she got the chance, she flew to LA to be with her best friend and just take time to reflect on everything.”
Lisa was in a relationship with Ant, 48, for more than two decades – the pair tied the knot in 2006 but parted ways back in 2018. Their split followed shortly after Ant faced personal struggles, including issues with alcohol and prescription drugs as well as his highly publicised drink-driving conviction in 2018.
After separating from Lisa, Ant embarked on a relationship with Anne-Marie, 46, who he married in 2021.
