Ruth scared by Eamonn's 'hellish' health woes

Eamonn Holmes' latest health blow is said to have "taken its toll" on his wife Ruth Langsford, leaving her feeling "scared for him", a friend has told new.

Last week, the TV presenter revealed he's been through a "hellish time" after falling down the stairs of his Surrey home and fracturing his shoulder-while also recovering from back surgery for chronic pain.

And while the 62-year-old, who had to undergo another operation for his injury, is slowly on the mend and receiving rehabilitative treatment, friends say it's been a tough time for Ruth.

"Eamonn is thankfully turning a corner after his operation. He is getting better and the whole family has rallied round, but it has been hard for Ruth," a source close to the couple told new.
