When we catch up with Amy Childs, she’s got her hands full. A busy mum to four children – Polly, seven, Ritchie, six, and 17-month-old twins Milly and Billy – her sprawling BIllericay mansion is never quiet, but still she finds time for a catch up over a cuppa with us.
While a friend looks after her little ones, and with Polly and Ritchie both at school, we sit down with the 34-year-old to chat all things The Only Way Is Essex.
The last series ended with an almighty fallout between Amy’s cousin Harry Derbidge and longtime friend Ella Rae Wise at his 30th birthday party.
Then, more recently, Amy inadvertently found herself at the centre of another drama when Harry discovered his ex-boyfriend Joe Blackman had quickly moved on with his friend Junaid Ahmed.
While Amy tells us it has been “tough” for Harry, she’s also trying to stay impartial when it comes to filming the latest series, which returned to our screens last month.
“I talk to everyone on the show,” she tells us. “There’s not one person that I don’t get on with. I say hello every morning and I like everyone. I don’t want the drama!”
Amy certainly has a lot going on in her own life. After our chat, it’s revealed that Polly – who also stars with her mum and stepdad, Amy’s fiancé Billy Delbosq, in the show – needs to have her tonsils removed.
The youngster was also recently diagnosed with dyslexia, and, during our chat, the reality star is candid about the “struggle” it’s been for the family, especially since Amy was diagnosed with the same learning disability when she herself was at school.
