GENERAL HOSPITAL: Chase Learns His Fate

The review board hands down its decision this week and Chase finds out if he’ll get his badge back.

According to portrayer Josh Swickard, “This day has been such a long time coming for Chase that in the back of his head, it almost doesn’t seem real. When he’s talking about it to other people, he has a little bit of a pessimistic view because he’s gotten his hopes up before. I think he’s almost trying to take a negative view [of his chances] to protect his heart.”

He’s also protecting his heart where Brook Lynn is concerned — but she, along with Dante, speaks to the board on his behalf. “His feelings toward her are complicated,” Swickard says of Chase’s ex. “But it’s a neat thing for the Chase/Brook Lynn relationship that she kind of comes through for him.” She is by his side when Chase learns his fate, which the actor describes as “a huge moment for him. Over the past few months, he has stated in so many scenes, ‘This is what I want. This is what I am called to do. This is who I am.’ And now all of that culminates in this moment of Chase sitting across from the people at a desk who are deciding his fate and preparing to tell him what his future holds.”

TO CATCH A PREDATOR

At the Nurses’ Ball, Brook Lynn violates her non-disclosure agreement by outing Linc as a predator. Blaze backs up her claims. As he is escorted out, Linc sneers to Brook Lynn that he now owns her songs, but she has no regrets about doing the right thing.
