WHEN Deacon Phillippe wanted to have a go at acting, he had a real in. The son of Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon was tapped by Mindy Kaling, who has been working on a script for Reese’s upcoming Legally Blonde 3 movie, for a role on her hit Netflix series, Never Have I Ever. “He’s obviously so talented and he’s great-looking, and we just thought he would be great and he was excited to come and do it,” Mindy later explained. “He’s just such a well-raised kid.”

Well-connected too. Deacon, along with such upand-comers as Kaia Gerber, Zoë Kravitz, Margaret Qualley, and Patrick Schwarzenegger, and many more have recently come under fire as “nepo babies,” whose success is more about their parents than themselves. “For some people in Hollywood, celebrity status was hard won,” an insider tells Star. “But for stars’ kids who also become stars, it was inherited.”
