Kim Kardashian once revealed her fears about having children who would inevitably be thrust into the spotlight. “When North was born, I used to pray, ‘Can she handle this life?’ Because it’s a lot to come into,” said Kim, “and it’s very public.” She needn’t have worried — if anyone is equipped to handle fame, it’s the 9-year-old, who’s become a bona fide TikTok star and is raking in the dough with sponsored social media posts and paid appearances, for which she charges an astronomical $35,000 to $40,000! “She’s already made a small fortune and has about her $10 million checking account,” says one source.

While she’s certainly living her best life, North — who rocked a $3,500 Prada purse while on vacation with her mom in Japan on April 5, and reportedly has a wardrobe worth $2 million — isn’t squandering her fortune. “She’s very aware of the money that’s coming in and asks for a running tally so she can keep track of her bank account and work her way towards being rich and famous in her own right,” says a second source. (In addition to the estimated $32 million she makes annually, North stands to inherit $375 million from her billionaire mom and dad, Kanye West.)

“Making TikToks and doing endorsements is very much North’s passion right now,” adds the source. “She gets a real thrill out of recording and goofing off in front of the camera. The fact she’s getting paid for it on top is the ultimate cherry on top!”
