Married to arguably one of the biggest celebrities of all time, Priscilla Presley has long had a fickle relationship with fame. “Living with Elvis Presley, people think, ‘Oh how wonderful, it’s great, it’s Elvis Presley,’ but I went through the ups and downs with him,” she told Piers Morgan on November 3. “When you are living with someone so famous, and you have been through it with them, it’s that part of privacy that is hard to give up, it’s hard to share.”

In a new movie, Priscilla (set for Australian release in January 2024), Oscar-winning writer-director Sofia Coppola sheds a novel light on the couple’s controversial dynamic from Priscilla’s point of view, including addressing Elvis’ pill-popping, infidelity and erratic temper during their six-year marriage.
