MARDI GRAS 2023 RAINBOW PARTY!

THE ATMOSPHERE WAS ELECTRIC AS THIS YEAR'S HIGHLY ANTICIPATED PARADE COINCIDED WITH WORLDPRIDE FOR 2023

We might already be more than halfway through this year's WorldPride - the global two-week festival, which is being held in the Southern Hemisphere for the first time since its creation in 2000 - but the mood in Sydney has continued to intensify, especially during the annual Mardi Gras parade on February 25.

Under the theme 'Gather, dream, amplify', more than 12,500 participants danced their way up Sydney's Oxford Street - with thousands more watching and cheering on from the sidelines. This year marked the 45th anniversary of the first Mardi Gras protest and party in 1978, with the festivities certainly ramping up a notch after two years of COVID-affected celebrations.
