A side from a few guest appearances and releasing A Attention: Miley Live, a compilation album featuring 20 hits from every era of the pop star's eclectic career, in April 2022, Miley Cyrus has personally and professionally been sidestepping the spotlight for the past couple of years. "Miley's been in the public eye her whole life and never got a chance to fly under the radar until recently," a source tells Radar Online. "It's been enlightening and empowering."

Laying out her vision for the year ahead, the star said she planned to pull from her life experience and switch things up a bit. 

"I think a lot of us wait until midnight to go, 'Well, when I wake up tomorrow in this new year, everything will be different,' but it won't be different if you aren't different," the singer said in an interview ahead of her star-studded New Year's Eve Party TV special. "My instinct is very loud, but I'm not a great listener sometimes ... guess that would kind of be my resolution, to not just listen to myself, but listen to others."
