RIHANNA RUINS PEOPLE’S PROPERTY

She may have been a hit at the Super Bowl and the Oscars, but Rihanna gets a thumbs-down from her neighbors. In 2009, a man sued the singer, 35, alleging that she’d let cars drive over the lawn at his LA home to get to her property. The suit even claimed that cars would sometimes just park on his lawn. Another neighbor, however, jumped to RiRi’s defense, saying, “Several years ago, it had squatters living there and it became a real party house with people coming from all over Los Angeles. But Rihanna hasn’t caused any real problems.” The lawsuit, incidentally, dragged on for 13 years! The case was dismissed in 2022; court documents did not disclose the details of the settlement.

RICHARD IS RUDE!

The wealthy residents of Bedford, N.Y., were enraged when Richard Gere, 73, “rudely” agreed to let Verizon build a cell tower at his 14-acre Bedford Post Inn. A report says the tower is meant “to fill service gaps and [aid] communications for emergency responders.” But neighbors, including Jerry Seinfeld’s sister and the parents of actresses Rooney and Kate Mara, objected. “In the winter, I have a gorgeous vista,” Kathleen Rooney Mara wrote the planning board in 2022. “And I look forward to it every year. Now I’ll be looking at an ugly tower that will soon be obsolete if the location is approved.” Sorry, Kathy: The tower was approved in January.
