SEAMLESS MIGRATION: SONY PICTURES OPENS ITS ADVANCED PLAYOUT CENTRE IN MUMBAI

How did your company handle the challenges of moving from Singapore to Mumbai while ensuring smooth operations and business continuity?

After 27 successful years in Singapore, our company embarked on an ambitious migration project to Mumbai, aiming to establish a stateof-the-art playout centre. This initiative, that began two years ago, was a pioneering endeavour in our industry, focusing on business continuity while implementing operational processes in a new environment.

How did your company smoothly transition to a new facility while maintaining operations and transferring 27 years of knowledge?

The vision for the migration was clear: we needed to build a facility that not only matched but exceeded our previous capabilities. The goal was to ensure that the transition would be seamless, with minimal impact on our ongoing operations.

To achieve this, we assembled a dedicated project team that focused on detailed planning and execution. Every aspect of the project was scrutinized, from infrastructure design to the recruitment and training of a new team in India. Eventually we were able to scale all challenges and transfer over 27 years of operational knowledge without disrupting our business processes.
